Patient Testimonials

“For many of us, our experiences with medical practices can certainly be less than rewarding.

We might feel like a number, or barely have time to consult with our medical practitioners.

However, my experience with audiologist Dr. Alyson Lake erases all of those types of memories. If like me, you value a friendly and professional approach, I want to encourage you to strongly consider Dr. Lake and her practice Forest Audiology.

From the moment Dr. Lake started treating me for my hearing, I have found three words that rise to the top to describe her and her practice: confident in knowing what she’s doing, empathetic as a caregiver and respectful of my time and treatment.

As with so many people who face hearing loss, I had some of the usual worries such as vanity or an admission of aging.  I believe that patients who are new to hearing loss will be comforted by Dr. Lake’s practical and intelligent way of approaching her patients. Also, as a mother, Dr. Lake’s approach works well with children as well as adults.

My experience with Dr. Lake from the initial hearing evaluation, to selecting and fitting of my hearing aids, has been completely positive.

Dr. Lake brings a decade of experience into your audiology appointments. My sense in dealing with Dr. Lake is that she is not in business to sell hearing aids, but her practice focuses on helping people to hear better.

I am blessed to call Dr. Alyson Lake my audiologist and I highly recommend her practice Forest Audiology.”

“At a relatively young age I noticed I could no longer hear everything in meetings at work, or when colleagues would speak to me from across the room, or even understand the dialogue when watching TV.  I was always asking, “what did they say?”  Finally, I sought help, but I wanted an experienced Audiologist.

Dr. Lake was amazing!  She assured me it was nothing to be embarrassed by and was actually becoming more common among people my age.  Her compassion and understanding removed all my fears.  She took the time to help me understand my options and presented me with the perfect, small, unobtrusive solution.  Her expertise and care were more than I could have hoped for.  She worked with me to become accustomed to my new hearing aids and tweaked them to perfect levels.  She offered me the latest technological accessories, but never pushed.  She provided follow-up assistance and has always been available for questions, suggestions, or guidance.

I don’t have to ask people to repeat themselves anymore, and now I hear all the dialogue in TV and movies.  Thank you, Dr. Lake, for your knowledge and assistance, but most of all, for your genuine compassion and kindness.”

– J.Kirk

“Alyson Lake is a very knowledgeable, thorough, and caring individual.  She has worked with me for years, starting with testing my hearing and fitting me with hearing aids, and I have been extremely pleased with her attention to detail and her overall knowledge in the field.  I would highly recommend her to anyone for their audiology needs.”
